My brother has a lovebird.....vicious little biter! Cute in the cage and says Peek-a-boo, but she has kept at least three cats at bay! Not to mention us humans....

If you are lucky, a nice sized feeder in the backyard in Florida gets you a few different kinds of parrots coming to feed. Of course, we don't seem to have the same hours the birds keep...I was getting woke up daily at 6 a.m. for the huge family feedings. They were making such a huge mess and tearing up my lemon and orange trees so the feeder finally had to go. Besides, the Perigrine Falcon was starting to stake out our yard for "lunch". Ours were mainly green and yellow parrots and the black hooded loud ones, nothing as colorful as the love birds up top.

Those are so beautiful. I especially love the shot of the Bald Eagle.

This makes me miss my parakeets. I used to have a really pretty yellow, blue & green one who would say 'pretty boy' and give you kisses... and if he was anywhere near your mouth, he'd bite your lip till you opened up, then he'd clean your teeth.

    Weird bird, but funny.

This were taken in the Bronx Zoo. I got a very fancy zoom lens, and the only place I can practice my photography is in the zoo, so I become a member and try to go there whenever I can.

    Here are some more

I think the photo of the bird taking off came out quite well!

Me jealous much (of the camera and the ability)?
