    NOT....but a great disguise. Pity the poor bug that gets on this flower..another site on our hike on the Blue Ridge parkway.

    It's a spider with it's legs extended and you can see his alien shaped body at the top of the yellow flower... it is exactly the color of the flower. I thought it was
    a flower I had never seen....due to the strange shape...

    Oh, see I misinterpreted that the other way around! Lol, I thought the flower was mimicking a spider! haha! So, any idea what the *flower* is? (that was what I was actually asking...)
