    Talking New fence/plants

Our house is on a half acre, so we have a huge backyard. Acouple weeks ago my hubby put up a picket fence in the backyard. So over the weekend we went to several nursiers and finally found plants that we liked. Today I planted everything and here are the pics. The tree is a purple trumpet tree, with african irises under it. Then along both sides of the porch are dwarf firebushes. They have really neat orange/yellow/red cylinder flowers. Then I have 3 Starburst Clerodendrum plants. The top of the leaves are green, the bottom is purple and it gets clumps of whitish pink flowers. So this is it so far.. I will be adding flowers later on. Thanks for looking.

Good job landscaping, I like the pickets. Only one question, what's up with the chain link fence. Is that to keep the gators out???

Really nice job! That's going to be beautiful when the plants get settled in. I really like your covered patio with the columns.

Reminds me of the home I had a few years ago in Ft Myers. It was a new developement and our home was the only thing around for a very long time until things got going and we had about half an acre that backed up to a lake....the surrounding area looked like your area beyond the fence...... to be there still with my orchids and the humidity and warmth and ....... reality....... Michigan and freezing rain and snow today!!!!!!! I'm happy for you

    Talking

Ok, so me and my mom went shopping today, and I got some goodies. Got a blue gazinf ball, but couldnt find a plain metal stand. SO my mom thought to use a metal vine holder.. so far so good. Tell me if you like it. Then I got snapdragons and put them around the tree and irises. I also got some chair cushions, because the dogs chewed up the original ones. I got this really neat pot from the nursery the other day and I got it filled up with several different plants. Let me know what you guys think.

Awesome! You are creating a little paradise there. Just think how wonderful it will be when it all grows in. If it looks this good now, wow!

Looking Good! Love the plant pot and the cushions, isn't it fun to see things taking shape. The stand and gazing ball worked out fine.
