    Default My Unknown Dendrobium

Hey everyone, I'm here on a quest and I need some expert species identification help!!!!

I have this dendrobium that blooms in the winter and that being what it is, I don't have any pictures of the blooms, however, I searched through countless pictures on google to try to find a flower that was similar to those that were on the plant when I got it originally. This particular picture that I have is of an artificial orchid and the plant itself is not accurate but the flowers are so if anyone can help me identify this orchid based on this picture, that would be majorly awesome!!!!

Like I said, the plant is fake so don't focus on that, it's mainly the flowers that need be concerned about!!!

Thanks again for any help I could get!!!!

Not sure what kind of dend it is without seeing the actual plant. Many dends have white and purple blooms like this. Perhaps post a photo of the plant now and then the bloom later. Someone my have one similar.

    Cheers,

I am going to guess it's a Burana Charming, or one that looks like it. I have one that is almost exactly like yours. There is also one called Meesangnil Sakda that is also very close to it. Look at the "tongue' and see if you can see veining in the purple/violet lip. If there is veining it is probably the latter, if not and it is a solid violet kind of purple I'd guess the charming one. Look them up on google or yahoo and see if you think they are close. Also, the charming is a slightly larger flower than the other.
Good Luck there are so many of this variety you might as well call it a NOID...I usually give my noids fun names, a noid is 'no other identifying info'. For example, I got a huge purple at this one place, I call it my Purple Flea for the flea market setting. It makes it fun when I get to name them. My noids are special with or without a name.
