    Default cats attacked orchid

so i thought i had my orchid out of harms way. this morning i found it on the floor with pebbles and bark everywhere. there is a leaf completely gone. a few others are spotted with punctures. the bark that spilled out revealed a new growth that hadn't yet made it to daylight. so i will definitely need to repot.
do i need to do anything to the chewed up leaves? the plant will be ok? i didn't find any info but could use some confirmation that other than my cats tossing up what they ingested they will be fine?

I have had three plants, that one of my cats did alittle damage. What type of plant was damaged? You can use Cinnamon cover any wounds.I had a couple of leafs from a couple of Den.s I just removed those.A cattleya new growth was chewed on.I just took clean scissors a trimed off the damaged ends to make them look more like a normal leaf, then dusted with cinnamon(the spice) I hope this helps.Your cats will be fine,no worries there. You could place doulbe side tape on the edges of a shelf.Cats don't like sticky stuf on there paws.Good luck,Rich

Sorry about your troubles. I don't thing your cat will be sick. My cats have chewed everything under the sun - plant wise and always seem to come out ok. I hope your orchid will be alright too!

    Cheers,

i dusted the leaves with cinnamon. one of the leaves is filled with holes(dend.) if the leaves start to die from the damage should i just let them fall off naturally or should i cut them? is there maybe something safe to spray on plants that taste yucky to pets? i've tried sticky sided tape on counter tops before. it doesn't deter my one cat too much. anywhere and everywhere there is to jump he'll do it.
