Do you have a pot inside a pot? That is not necessarily troublesome. What is the potting medium? Is the orchid getting rather far out of the pot? I have one like that and it is not doing as well as my other phals. These articles may help too.

    hi joew,

i have actually re-potted the plant last week in a plastic bottle that used to contain drinking water. made some holes at the bottom of the bottle for drainage. used sphag mixed with some bits of charcoal. am thnking of putting in some egg shells. don't know what good it will do but my dad told me he has seen some prize winning orchids blooming beautifully with lots of egg shells on the medium. and yes, i have placed the container within another container to 'catch' any runoff and to prevent dirtying the floor.....another one of my dad's idea!!!

    cheers
