I have had my brassia for a little over a year (my first orchid, bought when it was blooming) and it has not bloomed again, I suspect that it simply needs more light, as it seems otherwise healthy with lots of new growth. I have placed it in an eastern facing window where it gets a lot of direct morning sun but indirect light for the rest of the day. It was previously in a south facing window where it never got any direct sun, will this change be enough to help it bloom? if not would a full spectrum/sun lamp help?
thank you very much!
Brassia's are reluctant bloomers.I have a verrucosa var brachiata it flowered eighteen months ago and has not looked like it since one just has to persevere and maybe next year.Because when they do flower they are really something special.
