My personal opinion...the first two pics look like leafs. The third....Looks Like A Sheath! And I've seen them before! lol Now don't go and do anything silly! Quit misting too often (if you tend to do that) because too much moisture on the sheath will rot the buds growing inside.
Now take a deep breath....it'll be okay....really it will!

Connie, I just wuv you. LOL I'm hardly misting them at all. Just got them a few days ago and just keeping the pots upright is a production number, because they're side heavy. hahaha..... I was thinking of going s/h with them though. Any suggestions pro or con?

I'm not a semi-hydro pro....although the bug infested catt I threw on the side of the house is growing new roots due to the heavy rains filling a small pot with water it'd landed partially in!! It's covered with bugs and won't die. I'm guessing semi-hydro might be cool.....lol.

Yeah, if I can get them to actually stand upright. I ordered larger (s/h) pots, so maybe the center of gravity will keep them from falling over.

    sorry bout the bugs!!

They will be heavy, Anne. Hope you don't plan to take them with you to society meetings. LOL!

They don't have to be DDG to take to a society meeting. It is also about how well you can grow the plants. Just remember to have fun!

    Cheers,
    BD
