    For roots, think drink! Soak them in Hydrogen Peroxide for bacterial control. Save the spice for the leaves.

    they were so soggy when i got them!

    good thought on the H2O2. is there a recommended dilution/soak duration?

    Like BD said, just pour it in. No dilution needed, 3% hydrogen peroxide is what I used. I did it till it stopped fizzing which took a while.

    One of the oxygen molecules is released when H2O2 is exposed to the atmosphere, resulting in plain water H2O.

    it will disproportionate into H2O and O2 over time, though it's pretty fast. i'd be concerned about the level of oxidative stress this treatment places on the roots, but if it works, then it works! i imagine roots have more peroxidase reserves than would a single prokaryotic organism...
