Simple pleasures...I'm the same way lol. Anyway, does the HP work in the same way as Physan20 (an antibacterial/fungacide)?

If so, I welcome the HP. The Physan20 smells gross AND it burned my skin when I forgot to put my glove on (It's healed now). Plus, I won't have to lock the cat out of the room. I swear, he's like a little kid, super curious to see what I'm doing and always wanting to get to the "chemicals".

HP and Physan work in very different ways. HP is an chemical oxidizer while Physan is a mixture of Quartenary Ammonium (reason for bad smell) salts (QAS).

HP can be compared to a small chemical fire which is burning everything that comes in contact with its reactive oxygen species. Plants have thick cell walls, hence are not affected very much whereas bacteria, fungi and viruses are killed.

The QAS disrupts the cell membranes and the proteins in bacteria, viruses and fungii, whereas the plants are not affected because the plants have a cell wall of cellulose over the cell membrane.

    Hope this is of help.
