Alana, I would soak the plant in Peroxide now for about 10-15 min. and then... here is what I did and you might find it helpful:

Anyone? normally I would be more patient, but as I mentioned in the last post, it's just kinda sitting there bare root, because I am not sure what to do with it.
Yours is not bad and you may just want to keep it bare root/low light for a few days...
Think I should use any rooting powder? or at lest put some moist moss around the roots after a nice peroxide soak?
I used root stimulator but couple of weeks later but you can see I had no good roots... I mean I had no roots at all... If you just leave yours bare root and only spray it every morning you should be fine. Also I think basket works best for catts as they are very easy to overwater and rot (don't ask how I know that...LOL)
Oh good, lol, when I went to get 2 new pots for it (2 because it broke in half) I saw the slat baskets on sale and grabbed a couple Great timing they are the smaller baskets too, and I got some pot clips and wire and hooks. so it works out.
I was thinking about doing a water culture for them, but since catts need to dry out a bit a water culture probably wouldn't help very much huh?
Can't help with water culture advise... I have no experience with orchids and water culture.
I just went to get a lining for the bottom of my new baskets and grabbed a humidity meter while I was there. I am a bit worried about leaving the plants bare root, when I took a measurement earlier, 32% humidity...and that's right over my humidity tray!! Only about 27% through the rest of the house. it wil dry up way too fast if I leave it like it is..
Alana there is nothing to worry about leaving your catts bare root! I have several that have been bare root for at least two months now (may be even more) and they are doing good... And I had way too much going on so I wasn't even spraying them every day as I used to...
