I started using superthrive, and all my plants are happily putting out new leaves and roots, where before there was no active growth at all. Can't testify to other products, b/c I have only used superthrive, but it seems to work well, so why switch?

I use it every time I water - one drop in a litre of water. I also use slightly more when soaking plants or repotting. I have no miracle stories about crazy growth or bringing things back from the brink of death BUT after a few years I have not had one single orchid die on me. Consistent leaf growth and blooming. Superthrive probably has something to do with that lol!!

It may, but they don't say so on the label.

As I stated here 3 years ago without knowing it (quoted from another forum; I wasn't even a member here then), the hormones are quite unstable. A freshly made batch will be good for 12-18 months if kept dark and refrigerated. If allowed to get hot or exposed to sunlight, it's a matter of weeks. So how the bottle has been transported and stored, how long it has been on the shelf, etc., can all play a role in peoples' perception of how well it works - if they got a fresh bottle great. If old, no so great.

About a year ago I started looking into seaweed extracts, and switched from K-L-N to KelpMax. I like it better as 1) its natural and renewable, being "kelp juice", and it contains a preservative to give it a 2-3 year shelf life at room temperature.

About 2-3 weeks after a single application last April, my vandaceous plants started to put out roots like mad. The vascostylis in the image below had 42 new root tips!!!

@ Manilabynight...............Your expeerience is wonderful. I don't know how large your water vessel is, but be careful, You are only to use 1 DROP per gallon! So I would suggest using Superthrive cautiously!
