    Default Could this be a flower spike?!

    My noid dendrobium has finally produced what appears to be the beginning of a spike! What should I do? Fertilize?

    From the lloks of it, it is too early to call it a flower spike, it could also be a Keiki !! I would continue the normal regimen until it is more prominent. I would avoid using high nitrogen ferts, as some dendrobiums have the tendency to switch from flower spikes to keikis when given high N. A bloom booster fert high in Potassium would be good.

    Looks like the beginning of spike to me. Just treat as normal, it's getting what it needs.

    Would a 6-30-30 be a good fert ratio to use? I'm looking at AgSafe Orchid Mist.
