    Default Keikei? Or no?

So, I'm into rescuing abused plants. I purchased this mini oncidium, who looked like he was dying of thirst, and brought him home. When his blooms died, I cut his stalk and put it in a cup of water (with no intentions whatsoever, I had no idea what a Keikei was at that point. It's just kinda second nature - you get a cutting of a plant, you put it in a cup of water.) That was a week ago or so, but no more, and this strange little growth has developed. My limited research has led me to believe it might be a keikei, but I'm curious as to what people who know what they're doing think. Thanks guys It's hard to see cause he's so tiny, but the new growth is about an inch below the dead blooms.

Like you said, hard to see. I am wondering if it is another stalk.

It looks like a branch on the inflorescense to me. What kind of orchid is it, an equitant oncidium?

The tag says that it is a "Onc. Popoki Mitzi." I suppose I just find it odd that it grew after I cut it off from the plant. I suppose I will let it be, and see what happens!

That is usually best with orchids. LOL.
