    Question Masdevallia dilema

Hello out there...Is it ok for me to pot a Masdevallia Rubicon in Sphagnum? or would it do better in bark?

Depends on how you water, really. Sphagnum will hold lost more water than bark. We grow our Masde in bark, but we only water twice a week during the hot months.

    Cheers,

hey thanks-all my masdes are in bark-the exception being the afore mentioned (bare root at present), just wondering really how it would cope in sphag because im going to repot in sphag today if the response is good, but bark will have to wait-the weather is absolute sh*t outside

All of my Masd. are in moss. The only thing you need to remember, except for watering like Bruce said, is that you need to replace the moss about every 6 to 9 months.
