I think it has to be a lot more concentrated than orange zest. But, this site has instructions on making your own orange oil. Personally, I'm too lazy to do so, and just go to the nearest big box store...
Oh, and I am not buying that you just get the vodka for the plants--nice try though!
Jeez...I just can't get away with anything! Just last week, a bottle of wine went missing and I was blamed for it!
HAHAHAHAHA! Kathi, I didn't mean that I would be able to use it as an insecticide......just that adding it to my watering schedule, could potentially be a deterrent.
Ah, I see. Well, if you are ust trying to throw the chids a nice happy hour, some orange zest might be nice. I think some varieties love those festive little umbrellas too...
Murphy soap is great, mix 1 teaspoon in a quart of water and spray the leaves, side and under the pots. I do this every fall and have no critter problems.
