    Default Neofinetia Falcata Japanese orchid

    Hey everyone!

I recently got into neofinetias and went crazy for the great scent they put off. I have heard of some people with some that bloom several times a year, beacuse of their vigor. Even if they aren't hybrids.

Has anyone out there ever heard of a species Neofinetia orchid growing faster and be everblooming throughout the year? If so does anyone have divisions? : )

Also, anyone know of hybrids of the Neofinetia Falcata that bloom more often?

Since I only like collecting orchids for their blooms (most of the time) haha I was also wondering what are some nice orchids that I can expect to bloom quite frequently? I am way to impatient to wait for a seasonal orchid haha. Incase you couldn't tell!

    Thanks in advance,

    -Tommy

I have Ascofinetia Jinhwangje, it had been bloomed in march this year and will bloom soon, in a few days i think.

For all impatient - here is Haraella retrocalla, can bloom any time of year, and is constantly either in spike , bud, or bloom.

My N. falcata all bloom once per year. My S. cernua blooms three times per year. Many Masdevallia bloom continously.

Some of my vandas hybrids bloom all throughout the year. And a psychopsis orchid can bloom and remain in bloom (sequentially) for years at a time.

    cheers,

Wow thanks for the great responses guys.

Paph now that Haraella Retrocalla is next on my list. Haha. It looks pretty amazing and is perfect for an impatient person like me! I love scented orchids.

I might mount it for something different than a pot for once : )

    Thanks again,

    Tommy
