Default Phal. Queen Beer 'Red Sky' ?

I thought this was Queen Beer 'Red Sky', but when I went looking to confirm, the petals looked so pointed and the flower so small (1 3/4") I began to have doubts. Anyone know for sure?
And would it be better in bark or moss? It's in moss now but I'm more use to bark. Thanks

The petals look too pointed to be Dtps. Queen Beer (Dor. pulcherrima x Phal. Meteor), but it is the correct color. If you are more used to growing your orchids in bark, then you should repot this one in bark. Moss will stay too wet for you watering the same way as you would with bark potted orchids.

    cheers,

I've only had my 'Red Sky' for a month now, and I've not seen any growth since repotting. It was packed tightly in pure sphag. When I repotted, I used approx. 65% chopped sphag and 35% med bark mix, to help 'open' the mix up. If/when it blooms for me, I'll certainly post a pic.
    Cheers,
    Tony

Wow, Tony, look at the color on the back of those leaves. You should see some beautiful flowers out of that, once it decides to cooperate!

Yes, Patty. Actually, the top of the leaves are more maroon than green, and it had a really healthy root system when I repotted, so, hopefully it'll put on some growth soon.
