I have 2 moth phalnopsis orchids and one of them is about to drop it's last flower. It's also growing a new leaf and is a mature phal. So do i cut the spike to the base? Do i make it bloom again? Or should i leave the spike? More info about my phal is i got it at a store so i dont know much about it's bloom or checked it's roots but im pretty sure it's healthy since its growing a new leaf

I always recommend repotting new orchids and cutting off spikes that have dropped their blooms to allow the plant to grow and mature for next blooming season.
