Default one small white translucent spot on phalaenopsis leaf

    Dear members,
I have noticed one small, white, translucent spot on the leaf of one of my phalaenopsis ochids. It is barely a centimetre in diameter and shows on both sides of the leaf. It does not appear to be increasing in size and I have been aware of it for the past three months. The deep green leaf, and the plant, which is about to flower, seem perfectly healthy. There does not appear to be any change to the texture of the leaf where the spot is. It is just that the leaf colour at the spot has lightened considerably.

The spot is not highly obvious but I always want to check it as I do care about my plants.

We are just moving into warmer spring weather here in Auckland, New Zealand. I have been watering carefully through this cooler period and using an orchid fertilizer with most waterings.

Thank you very much for any suggestions or help to clarify this aberration on the leaf of this plant.

    Kind regards to all,

    Robert.

    It sounds like sunburn.

Could you attach a picture of the circle?? As they say...a picture is worth a thousand words. It'll make figuring this one out much easier.

That would be helpful to identify the issue, but it is probably sunburn as has been stated.

    cheers,

Thank you Brutal_Dreamer. Your reply is much appreciated. The plant appears to be in excellent health and the spot seems stable. Your reply is reassuring.
