Hello again. I found these beautiful blooms about three days ago. Somebody gave me the plant but it had no ID. What kind of orchid is this? I have it in full sun.

Probably Brassanthe (Brassocattleya) Maikai. There are several widely distributed clones that all look similar.

Thanks! I appreciate your wisdom. For an update, my collection is slowly growing. I found a local garden shop that sells orchids at half price once they loose their blooms. For me that is perfect because my collection consisted of about 5 plants. Now I have about 20 and got them for half the price, mostly cattleyas which are one of my favorite, and a couple of phals. I think it is worth the risk for someone like me, who is starting in this beautiful hobby. I will get many surprises once they start to bloom. All of them had id tags, but maybe they are mixed up, I don't know. For now I am happy to see my modest collection and for sure I will be more selective in the future. I will keep you posted! By the way, this brassavola I already had, a friend of mine gave it to me.

That is how it starts...it creeps up and Wham!
