Default Repotted Phal's New Growth Dying?

I repotted all three of my phals the other day and one had just started a second new leaf, after repotting it has turned yellow.

Is there something I could've done wrong? Should I re-repot?

Also, my Dendrobium Kingianum seems to be growing roots like a weed! The growth is noticeable from one day to another, is this healthy?

It's actually very unusual for a new leaf on a phal to turn yellow after repotting. I'm afraid I don't know what could cause that.

Well, before I repotted there had been some physical damage to the spike, which is in bloom. The flowers had gotten to heavy and the spike bent over. I had it fastened for a time with a hair clip, but upon repotting, decided to cut it.

Could this have anything to do with it?

Probably, or perhaps the leaf was at the end of its normal life. If it is a lower leaf, don't worry. The dendrobium growth sounds like a very happy plant.

    cheers,
