    Default Hi everyone

It's been a while since I've logged in to the forum. Lots of good new info for me to absorb. Some of you may remember a white dendrobium I posted last fall. After it finished blooming I repotted it and in the process divided it into three individuals. They are all thriving and have put out strong new growth. The largest division that I will call the "Alfa Cain" has already put out two spikes that are in bloom. Last year, which was the first year it bloomed, it didn't start until September but this year it was early June. Do these orchid sometimes bloom twice a year? I am still very new to orchid growing so I have a lot to learn. Also I have acquired several catts since last fall from reputable sellers in the South Florida area. They have all put out strong new growth and roots but no blossoms as yet. I thought I might see some after 6 or 7 months as some were advertised as blooming size but nothing yet. Perhaps these are winter bloomers and I just have to be patient. They are getting plenty of light and receive a balanced time release fertilizer ( 13-13-13 ) and get watered thoroughly once a week. Any thoughts on that? Again it's good to be back in touch. Thanks all.

Thannks Kitty. I added a photo for you of the dend. blooming last October before repotting. I hope the new divisions will do as well. Can you or anyone else give me advice on getting the cattleyas to bloom. They are all healthy plants so I will be patient.
