I don't think the phal is "stuck in leaf mode" any longer Ray was right about the roots "looking for support" - when I transplanted the plant in the bark mixture, I also used a different pot to allow for greater stability post the profuse leaf growth. Two weeks later, the plant spiked... The spike is now about 3" long - there is a long way to go until flowering
