    Default Paph. Black Rook bark

Hello, I have a Paph black rook which is pictured below and just now while watering I noticed tiny white bugs walking in a bark. What is it??How can I get rid off it and prevent from coming back? Also, it's leaves are not as thick as they use to be, what is the reason for it? Thank you very much for any help! Have a great weekend

I just bought a Black Rook and it is in spike. Can't wait for the bloom to open.

    Was your questions answered?

Have you tried looking up bug pictures yet? Mealybugs, spidermites, springtails...
I have had a problem with tiny whitish bugs when I water before. I searched online and could not find a picture so I don't have a name. They were too small for my camera to capture. The plants that had them didn't seem to be in any distress. I only noticed the bugs when I watered because they would tend to scatter from the water. They seem to like damp media and probably feed off the decay. They are hard to get rid of. Actually if I looked closely I could probably find a plant that still has them. Even after repotting and cleaning everything they'd still show up. I tried Physan and also rubbing alcohol.
I don't know if the mention of 'bugs' in the title would get the thread more help.
Good luck. Hopeful someone else will offer more advice.

Hi Crisa, good luck! I hope you will enjoy seeing how it opens slowly and beautifully

Nicki, same as you, I looked and looked on the web and could not find anything on those bugs. It seams like they do not hurt an orchid but still, I do not like an idea knowing they are there...just running around ... it bugs me

Yes, it seems to be happy with taking it's time blooming, but I can't wait!
