hello I have 20 orchid and over the next 2 years of growing i wish to have 30 more from just dividing them...
is my culture alright???
i grow them up to the terrace and have them shaded like only 10% but i am gonna increase it for 20 to 30%
i grew them in direct morning sun 6:00am to 11:00am and shaded by the roof when already midday up to nightfall
when night there`s is a breeze for stalk developing
when in summer i water them everyday and fertilized every 1week
(i have a problem when wet season are my orchid gonna be alright when rained allday )
i dont have problem with humidty here in the philippines and are area is near on rice fields
(50% up )
my orchid are cattleya, dendrobium, vanda, oncidium
is my culture just right??? i am worrying because if they bloom there bloom may died fast because of the direct sun
and my newly bought orchid "dendrobium" this april is developing a stalk for about a week now
-thanks for the reply i want to here other opinion nor suggestion from other grower
-happy orchid growing
anyone grow in this manner? We grow in a greenhouse and shade our orchids with 30-50% shade during the summers. We grow and bloom cattleyas, dendrobiums, vandas, and oncidium. 10% shade may not be enough shade for your orchids. I would watch for burns.
