    Default what color for shading cloth for orchid growing

    i have a problem as my dendrobium and reed stem epidendrum is getting sun burn i need help actually i need a 30% shade cloth as here in the philippines the humidity is high and i am getting humidity 80% everyday and there`s always air movement . my orchid are getting morning sun 6 to 11am

    what color do you prefer as i know color is affecting something???

    We use black shade cloth here, but I think that is more because I don't like the look of the green, blue, or silver stuff. I think as long as you get the correct amount of light to shade for your orchids, color of the cloth is probably more a personal taste issue than a factor. Saying that - it is only my opinion. I've never tried any of the other colors of shade cloth.

    some said green shade cloth absorbs light required for blooming though I never tried before. Most nurseries I seen use black shade cloth.
