    Post Vanda root help

That's good to know. One day I sat and read all the vanda posts and got a lot of information. My problem is I tend to overdo everything. I thought vandas would be good for my area and I love to water. I'm recently retired and have too much time on my hands. The plant still seems to be doing o.k. and I probably need to sit back and let it grow. I need more plants to obsess over.

    Cool Vanda odsessed

Yes, I'm off to the orchid show tomorrow and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for a Southern California grower. I have leilia's, cattleya's, and cymbidiums outside. I've tried a terete and I think I've killed it. I love the vanda's and wondered if any others grow like the Pachara Delight that seems pretty hardy.

from my own personal taste I always like anything with the names Mimi Palmer. JVB, or Merv L. Velthuis somewhere in the cross, some of these would probably be semi teretes, I just like their flower forms and Mimi Palmer almost always brings a nice fragrance. But have fun and see what catches your eye

Thanks for the suggestions I'm all over it! I'll let you know what I come home with. I broke down and bought a plant yesterday ---------------. I was so excited to see a different type orchid than their usual. I'm so jealous when I read of people finding vandas in Florida at these stores. You're so lucky.
