I actually repotted one while it was still flowering and waited and repotted the other one it had dropped all of it's flowers. So far, both seem to be doing ok.

Some folks say repotting a flowering phal doesn't affect the flowering, but my question is:
How does one know that? Perhaps you shortened their life by 3 days. Would you know that?

So unless there is a compelling reason, I wait to repot.

    Hello Everyone,
I was just reading all of the posts on this page. You guys are the best!!!
You have taught me more than any other websight on the internet. I mean that. Like I said earlier, my first orchid was given to me by my son on Mothers Day. I have since become an addict. I have 8 now total. I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone for being so kind and sharing your knowledge means the world. I was doing stuff all wrong before I came here.
    Thank You, Thank You,
    Karen

Sometimes those three days enough to kill roots . I better loose flower than root

    Exactly my point.

I'd rather lose the 3 days of flowering if the plant is suffering and not lose the phal.
