Default What damage did I do to my Vanda?

Hello! One of my tree mounted Vanda Sanderiana has grown so tall. I could not hardly see it because some of the tree leaves has started covering it. I decided to cut and mount it in a driftwood today. I did checked if there are spikes or keikis growing but I did not see any. But I was only able to check the lower portion of the cutting as I could not reach and see the top. I was so surprised when I was able to cut it and saw that 3 spikes has started to form on the top leaves.

Now, I am really worried that I might have damaged it severely. Will the spikes die?

How big is the vanda and how much of damage is there for its roots?. if the root/foliage damage is not heavy it should be alright. Do let us know how it progresses

Thanks! This is the second day. I'm crossing my fingers crossed.
I don't really know it's name. My searches led me to Vanda JVB or Vanda Sanderiana. But this is the picture of its bloom.
