    My grocery store, thankfully, has a nice selection of fresh blooming phals for $10. I just snagged a cute lil one with 3 spikes!

    No problem! I figured I would ask since you're so knowledgeable. I'm pretty sure one is a hybrid anyone. I will post pics in another thread and see if I can find some info.

    Chances are very good that you'll never know the parentage. There are thousands of unlabeled and unidentified hybrids out there that look pretty much the same, I wouldn't worry about it too much. As for breeding it, well, that's got to be for fun anyway!

    My sentiments exactly! The hardcore growers told me not to bother harvesting these seed pods and wait until I could identify parentage and get all the glory that goes with creating & naming a hybrid. However, this is very novel to me! My first successful seed pods! I put a lot of thought into it and I really want to see how they turn out. So what that are bastard orchids! I will give them away as gifts! lol! (I hope no one is offended by my humor!)
