Roots look ok. I would soak it in a mild glucose solution on a low TDS water to help them recover from dehydration.

This are the roots of my vanda. They really don't look as white as in the photo, I hate that the smartphone takes such bright tones in the photos. This was about two hours after soaking the roots, just before weting them again

Yug and Sriram, could you do us a favor?

On these troubled vandas the stem where old leaves were are brownish color, on Gabriela's more brownish than on mine. Could you please look at your healthy vandas and see if its same color ? Or its green?
Maybe we have ones whith some kind of disease.
Cuase to me its unclear how two plants from same grower, which get absolutely identical care (im talking about my two) behave so different.

Svetlana, Gabreila, I don't see similar browning of the leaves at the apex on my vanda's. I will post picture of one of the vanda's tomorrow.

It seems nothing I'm doing is working and she's getting worse by leaps. I don't know what more to do.

Gabreila, How do the roots look like?. do they have root tips?. Secondly how is the new leaf. some times a few leaves can drop for vanda's and older leaves can also be shriveled but thats quite common in a place where humidity is fluctuating a lot. Do you have access to a systemic fungicide (Thiophanate methyl)?

The roots haven't adjust to the change yet, I think one is going to dry in the next week, the rest look ok, and I see the tips of two new roots in the stem. The two new leaves look great, in fact the top of the vanda looks ok. The variation in the humidity is because is summer, usually we are between 70-80 %. I will have to look if I find the fungicide.

Growing new root tips & branching is always a good sign of healthy vanda. Secondly the crown of the vanda should be continuously growing and the color of the new leaf is lighter in the initial stages. Observe that the size of the fully developed new leaves should be greater than or equal to the previous leaf. if all these parameters are met, your vanda is happy.

Thanks, ksriramkumar, I'll have to wait and seed if the new roots that appear to be appearing in the stem really grow. The two new leaves aren't yet long enough to match or surpase the other ones, but the color of the new leaves is ligher. I hope it is just the shock of traveling for five days in the post and that is just taking her a little bit over of a month to adjust.
