    Default What orchid genera?

    Hello

Another rescue I purchased couple of months ago. No leaves, no roots, just pseudobulbs. I potted it and it looks like there is success! 2 new growths. However the bulbs do not look like on any of the orchids I own. I have no clue what could this be. All I know is that it does not like too much sun (sun burn? on the bulb after few days on eastern window).

    Any suggestions please?
    Thanks you for your help.

So hard with just a few leafless pseudobulbs, easy to be way off, but ... Liparis, maybe?

Agree with Kirk very hard to recognize based on pseudobulb and it could be Coelogynae species too.

I'm not as familiar with Coelogyne so it wouldn't occur to me. We are both brave to even make a suggestion. Definitely reminds me of Liparis condylobulbon. It will get easier as those new growths develop and leaf out. More pictures in a few weeks?

It would be helpful to know where you are and where you got the plant from? Is it from a nursery or is it native to where you are? Another possibility is encyclia/prosthechea species like prosthechea cochleata, which is quite common in cultivation.
