    Default What's that brown branch & can I cut it off


    Hi guys, need help to identify that brown thingy & whether I can cut it off ? Not sure if it's the root but really have no idea... please help. Thanks

    Looks like the "stump" of an old, dead growth to me. Yes, you can remove it, but you need to avoid damaging living tissue beneath it, so why bother taking the risk?

    Hi Raybark, thanks for the reply. The reason being the "stump" is quite big & long so Its like quite annoying & I couldn't repot it nicely into a pot...

    It would also help to know what local natives means ! Obviously not Inuit, but who and where . ( and looks more like a Cattleya than a vanda, to me )
