Default Watering mounted minis

I got my pretty little minis in the mail Friday. I got a Phal lobbii, Haraella odorata and Schoenorchis fragrans. How exactly should I get them water?

I have 2 of the minis you bought ,the Haraella and the schoenorchis . Both are watered in my case sprayed down in the am . if it is hot ,daily , if cool and no sun everyother day ,mine might be mounted diffrent ,the haraella is on a wire suet feeder that is stuffed with Spag. it holds water longer . The schoenorchis is on the cactus skeleton , when in growth /bud daily if not everyother day . kinda depends on your growing conditions . A hand mist bottle would work not just misted tho . or take to the sink , water well , dunking would work too .. Nice choices Gin

I have my mounted orchids in the greenhouses. The humidity in there is like 60-80% as the norm (90% right after misting/fogging). Even with that, we still spray the mounted orchids including my schoenorchis plants twice a day. BTW, these plants are mounted on tree-fern slabs. During the summer, we have misting system running for extended period to cool the plants and maintain the humidity. So I don't know how you will duplicate that in the house?
Cheers. Hoa.

Sue posted a thread with a step by step guide to making a terrarium. I think it had an off-site link that showed photos of each step as well. Do a quick search and maybe that will give you some ideas.

Good luck! (BTW, you could always add a bit of spag to the mount around the roots to hold a bit more moisture between waterings.)

Cheers!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Hi , I grew mine in the house for a couple of years , actually the Haraella bloomed better than it has in the GH.
The schoe. has bloomed better . It gets more light out there think that is why . Gin
