    Default New to orchids

Hello everyone. As you can tell if you read my intro my main focus on orchids is there beauty and initially trying to keep them alive.

I've killed two Catts and two Vans by overwatering/feeding.

I've recently decided to try again. Other than the normal Thai variety orchids I found one the just smacked me betwee the eyes. I really don't want to kill this one.

I am looking for general care infor. on this plant.

    Default Environment

I should add that I live in S. E. Thailand and the temperature ranges from a high of 95 deg. F to a low of 70. The dew point ranges from 80 deg. to a low of 60 deg.

All of the orchids are outside in gentle breezes under a 60% shade cover. I keep the ground fairly wet during the day due to watering of vegetable starters.

    Thanks for any help.

thank you. One of the hardest things for a complete novice is finding the basics. With so much detailed species data available it can be overwhelming.

Ive known a couple hybrids like that, particulary Den Frosty Dawn. I grow mine a little drier than most Dens.
