    I think that psychopsis may not be in my immediate future, they sound far too delicate for my clumsy fingers. However, I will very much look forward to seeing the blooms that both of you will hopefully, cross fingers, get to see!

    Well, beauty's in the eye of the beholder and all that but I have been described as weird on more than one occasion. Maybe that's why I like it here so much

    Kerry, I saw a Psychopsis papilio at the very first orchid show I went to and instantly fell in love so I don't mind putting up with a few strops if I can manage to get those blooms.

    The spike on the versteegianum is 32.5" long.

    The Mariposa spike that lost its bud would be 21", if the bud were still attached. The second spike has a small bud now and is 19".
