I'm sorry you had to deal with this bad vendor situation, but I can tell that it is something that most of us have had to deal with at one point or another. I learned the hard way myself; I thought that purchasing plants through auctions on the internet was a great way to save money...however, the 3 plants that I purchased this way came with rotted roots, and haven't done much of anything since I bought them in January....meanwhile they are sitting next to more expensive plants that I ordered from reputable growers that are growing like wild! All I can say is, if you're serious about orchids (which you obviously are), take your time to find a reputable grower who has what you are looking for. Buying orchids is absolutely one of those situations where I believe "you get what you pay for" :-) If you need recommendations for online growers that I've had great success with, feel free to PM me.
