    Default Beginning of Collection

Here are the pics of my current blooming collection. I have 4 others that were bought without blooms. 2 Cattleyas ( from picture when purchased, 1 Bright Red, and the other a light orange) and 2 Vanda (one deep purple, and the other white with alot of purple webbing).

Photo 1 - The Beallara has been moved to an eastern facing window that has large blind with a slight crack in them. It seems happy. All of the blooms have now openned.

Photo 2 - The Dendrobium has been happy on the mantle of the fireplace. This room has to large southern facing windows, and we keep the blinds open during the day.

Photo 3 - The Paphiopedilum is now under this lamp, very close to the southern facing windows in the same room as the Dend. It seems to be doing well. I have been keeping a close eye on it to see signs of burning or drying.

Photo 4 - The Phalaenopsis, this is my problem child. I moved it from the lamp that is showing in the picture to an area with less light and heat. It is about 13 feet from 2 norther and 2 southern facing windows. Since this photo was taken it has been moved to the location in photo 1. The 2 blooms previously on the plant have fallen off. There were only the two blooms, and no signs that additional blooms were coming. So, it may have reached the end of it's blooming cycle.

Here are the names on the tags with the plants. I am not sure if they are correct.
    Beallara Capitola Sunrise "Pacific Starlite"
    Dendrobium Burana "Pink #2"
Paphiopedilium Maudiae (Hybrid) Tyne Medium S:
Phalaenopsis P. Long Pride Treasure MP-0485 CR

All of these pictures were taken in the late evening, or early morning.
