Lexan. We use double wall (air channel) lexan for the greenhouse 'walls'. It is very strong, insulating, and easy to install. It is expensive, but so far, it has been a one time expense. It is also very pretty - JMHO.

LOL! Who said it was paid for??? I am a theatre designer / college professor and teach at a private university-- and we have a lot of debt! This is my 12th year to work there. I feel like I am in my mid-twenties, but my students remind me every day that I am much closer to 40.

    Cheers,

What?! Close to 40?!!!!!!! OMG! You don't look any older than 28 at the oldest! Man! College professor.....congrats on the job! I have done nothing with my degree because I was stupid and picked horticulture. If you have seen the economy lately you will notcie that when everyone looses money....no one wants to do plants. I
am going back to school to be a dentist i think.

What is the main kind of plant you grow in your greenhouse?

Yeppers... 37. Knock, knock, knocking on the big 40. Thanks.

The main plants in our greenhouse are orchids. We grow mostly cattleya and slippers, but have a large assortment of vanda types and several others. The bulk of the space is cattleyas, though.

    Cheers,
    BD
