Default Dtps. Chain Xen Pearl 'Ming-Ho'

Below is a pic of my Dtps in question? So what do ya think, do I cut it off or not? I first noticed this keiki a few week ago and at first thought it was a flower stem, but now you can clearly see it's not. What's the verdict?

I'm no expert but I've read that the rule of 3's applies to your query. 3 roots, 3 inches long. Since I can't see the base clearly I don't know but it doesn't appear that your keiki is ready for it's own home.....

Great to hear. We have been wondering the same thing here. My keikei is about 2 1/2 inches, with one long root and one stubby one. I tried putting a drop of water on the tip of my finger and touch it to the end of the baby roots and they grow faster. I'm kinda impatient sometimes....okay....alot. lol

I leave the basal keikies on the mother plant until fairly large it will grow faster and bloom quicker, if you remove one that size will be a long wait for blooms . I have some that have not been removed at all .More flowers in a shorter time . Gin

OK Gin, thanks. I was afraid it would sap the mothers energy. Feel better about leaving it there now. Thanks again.
