Description:
Welcome to the New Recipe section of the Out-Back Kitchen. The fields on a new thread create different boxes to fill in your information.

Cheers,
BD
Other: Ingredients:
Time:
Just add in the total estimated time here. It could be 5 Min or 6 hours.
Difficulty:
Easy
Serving Size:
How many does your recipe feed? 5, 1, 3?
  1. As you list your ingredients, the system will automatically number them in a 1,2,3 order.

  2. If you double space between entries, then it lists a blank ingredient step.
Preparation:
  1. In this field and the one below it, every time you return (hit the enter key) it will add a new step number. For instance if I was to return at the end of this sentence, it would number this paragraph one and the next, two.

  2. If you want to link to an image here in this top field, use bbCode to do it. Simply upload your image to a host and link it into this box with the following tags: [IMG] link to image on the net including the http & www [/IMG]

  3. Note: Do not space between the image bbCode and the image URL. I placed spaces so that the code would show up in my post. If you use a regular upload, your image will be placed at the bottom of your recipe. To do this, simply click on "Manage Attachments" below the submit button.
Instructions:
  1. Please see the note above. Automatic numbering is enabled in this field as well.

This new feature will also put a link in your post-header that says: Recipes: 'X' This will list the total recipes you have contributed to our Outback Kitchen and the "X" will also link to your user profile page for a listing where all of your recipes will show up together with links to each one. It is like having your own personal recipe file. Another new profile page feature for all members of our community.

I want, in the future, to better incorporate our standard bb-code symbols (like you see when you reply to a post), so that you do not have to memorize the actual code to create the effects. For now, you may need to refer to the BB-CODE page. On that page you will see all of the programing bbCode you can use.

But, here are the basics that will probably use:

[IMG ] put your html link in between these markers [/IMG] Insert an image from a link on the web.

[b] text [/b] Bold. Make text Bold

[i] text [/i] Italic. Make your text italicized by placing it between the [i] codes.

[u] text [/u] Underline your text.

[color] Red [/color] Change the color of your text

[size] 7 [/size] Change the size of your text.

If you have questions about how to get this application to work, post in the Using the Boards forum. I am happy to help! I look forward to all of the recipes you will post!

Cheers,
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
