    Default Pecan Pie

    Description: My moms Pecan Pie recipe. She makes this during the holidays and it is sooo good. Enjoy!

    Serving Size: 4 -6 people
    Time: a little over an hour
    Difficulty: Easy

    Ingredients:
    1. 3 large eggs, slightly beaten
    2. 1 cup Karo syrup
    3. 1 cup white sugar
    4. 1 1/2 cups pecans
    5. 1 tsp. vanilla
    6. 2 Tbsp. butter
    Preparation:
    1. Pre-Heat Oven to 350
    2. prepare a pie shell
    Instructions:
    1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except for the pecans. Blend well.
    2. Next, stir in the pecans.
    3. Pour into your pie shell
    4. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between the center and edge slides out clean.
    5. Let sit for 15 minutes and serve warm with vanilla ice-cream.
    6. Store left-over pie (if any ) in the refrigerator

    Bruce! You included a photograph! That is just plain cruel to us diabetics. I get a suger high just LOOKING at Pecan Pie!

    And I have always loved pecan pie. Just looking at the picture is almost a NO NO.

    Oh -- man, I LOVE pecan pie. It is just so evil and chuck full of calories. How do I print this off though for the holidays?

    Although I must ask--do you pronounce pecan: "pea-can" or peh-cahn"

    Peacan pie is my favorite, of course my grandmother makes it, but I am very bad when it comes to baking. Most things come out burnt lol

    Pecan pie- a favorite -and it looks so good in your picture. Everybody in my family loves this (w/o the pecans)

    Sadie, "pee-cans" are what truckdrivers use on long hauls when they can't hit a rest stop LOL
