    Default Scones

Description: Scones are little pieces of quickbread that are generally served during Morning Tea or as part of Devonshire Tea. This recipe is so easy to make, even I can do it!
    Serving Size: makes 10
    Time: 15 minutes
    Difficulty: Easy

    Ingredients:
    1. 3 cups Self Raising Flour
    2. 1 cup fizzy lemonade
    3. 1 cup thickened cream
    Preparation:
    1. Pre-heat oven to 220 degrees celsius
    Instructions:
    1. Mix the three ingredients in a bowl using a knife or fork. Do not knead.
    2. Place the mix on a flat floured surface and spread out so it is about 3 cm thick
    3. Cut into shapes (squares) and place onto baking tray so that they are just touching each other.
    4. Baste with milk and cook for 10 minutes.
    5. Serve hot with whipped cream and jam of choice.
