    Default MINCE CHOW MEIN-a family recipe

    Description: mmmmm nice in winter-serve with a fresh green salad and unsweetened plain yoghurt like you would with curries.
    Difficulty: Easy

    Ingredients:
    1. 1 large onion
    2. 1/4 cabbage
    3. 1 medium carrot
    4. 500gm mince
    5. 1 pkt chicken noodle soup-or 1-2 cups chicken stock and a pkt of plain noodles
    6. 2 1/2 cups water
    7. 1/2 tsp curry powder
    8. 1 tbspn worcestshire sauce
    9. 2 tbspn rice (optional)
    10. 1 cup of thawed frozen veges or fresh veges from the garden .
    Preparation:
    Instructions:
    1. peel and chop the onion. dice the carrot and finely shred the cabbage. brown mince in a pan and drain off any fat. add onion and cook untill brown. Mix the soup mix and water together-if you use powdered stock, you know what the waters for now =)-then add curry powder sauce and rice. Cover with lid and cook for 10-15 mins. Add veges and cabbage. Mix thoroughly and cook for another 5-10 mins. Serve immediatly
