    Cool Grapefruit Pie

    Description: Cin (Molly Taco) mentioned this pie to me and since I love fun desserts, I am gonna give it a try. Grapefruit Pie:

    Serving Size: 8 Servings
    Time: 3 hours
    Difficulty: Easy

    Ingredients:
    1. 1 cup sugar
    2. 3 tablespoons cornstarch
    3. 1 1/2 cups water
    4. 1 (3-ounce) box strawberry gelatin
    5. 2 large red grapefruit, sectioned
    6. 1 prebaked pie shell
    7. Whipped cream, for serving
    Preparation:
    1. In medium saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch, add water and cook over medium heat until thick and clear.
    2. Add strawberry gelatin and stir to dissolve.
    Instructions:
    1. Let cool, and add grapefruit sections.
    2. Pour mixture into baked pie shell and chill until firm, about 2 hours.
    3. Top with whipped cream and serve.

    I love grapefruit and this pie sounds wonderful. Would love to try it but the damn cholestorol medication has eating grapefruit as NO NO!

    Sorry Bill but yes you really should stay away, make it with tangerines instead.

    I haven't tried a grapefruit pie but seeing this I think I might.
    My dad use to make the best grapefruit wine.

    I live in the best grapefruit country on earth and this pie is epic. But the main difference between this one and ours is there is a ton more grapefruit in it.
