Come on, already!
Don't you just hate it when a plant has a bud that is obviously ready to burst, and yet it sits there for days, mocking you? I almost feel like peeling this guy open!!!

You hang in there juicy, little buds. Teach these people the meaning of patience. I'm still waiting for my Phrag. grande to bloom after two years! You know you'll enjoy them more when they do eventually open.

Cross my palm with silver and I'll put the fluence on them! Or alternatively show them the football match between Doncaster and Leeds utd at Wembley on Sunday, that would frighten any of them into blooming (we lost Leeds that is )

They'll drive you nuts! My L. purpurata buds have been looked in the "semi-open" position for the last week and I'm about to start prying
