I'm still lagging on the pics since between work and moving I am running around like a chicken with its head cutoff!
The Onc I got says "Sweet Ears"- typical yellow & brown onc, imo.
I also picked up one of the minis you bought- the minmaru. I hate that white build up on the leaves. I scraped it off with my fingernail & a tissue, so hopefully that won't hurt the plant. Any suggestions?
One of the grower/breeders here that I visited last week had watered their Paphiopedilums with a calcium mix which left a whitish residue on the leaves. They had put a sign out so visitors wouldn't suspect an infestation.
It doesn't look like a fungus or anything of that nature. It's probably what Marissa said about the water- kind of like water spots on glass/mirrors. Scraping it off with my nail & a tissue seemed to be ok. The plant is still alive. I just moved it out of my office and to my new house. There is a huge shaded patio at the new house.
