Im glad this one seems to be doing fine after a month. It was realy shriveled and had some rotting bulbs before I repotted it. In hindsight I guess I could have cleaned it up a little better, it was one of the first ones I did, but, it seems to be doing great and I'd rather not desturb the roots now.

I quite like this plant as it is the only one I have with bulbs like that...

Well done on saving this little guy! Orchids are a tough bunch. They go to great lengths to survive which always impresses me. I have 2 rootless plants finally starting new growths after having been shredded and attacked by NYC squirrels when they were outside.

I agree. It is sometimes amazing what they can survive. It takes them awhile, but the rewards are pretty.

Aye, I looked up pics on google, and it seems you may be in the right direction... thanks a million.

The pic doesn't show it, but there is also a new little mini bulb growing just next to that shoot...

Good save!!! It looks well to me - it'll of course take a bit more time to recover simply because it doesn't really have leaves yet to produce energy, but there is quite a bit of stored energy in those pbulb cells (along with water, of course) and it is this energy that is feeding that new growth Good job! You should be very proud.

I agree about how tough these things can be. I have a couple dendrobium growths that appeared on plants I figured didn't have chance. I cut the cane's with the keikei's on them and attached them to a larger piece of wood. Both have new growths now....I am always amazed at how hardy they are.
