WOW... Dendrobium noid

    Talking WOW... Dendrobium noid

    This isn't my plant (actually it's two plants)..it belongs to an acquaintance who is getting this huge monster repotted. He doesn't know what it is other than it blooms purple. It looks like some sort of nobile Den. to me but thought I would get input from you guys.

    I was thinking something along the lines of a Mingle's Sapphire or Kuniko type.

    I put the scissors in the pic to show how big it is. Glad I had my camera with me today!

    difficult to tell but could be a nobile hybrid but the stems look thin for all nobile background. I see tons of keikis! A pic of the flowers would help

    Most of the plant is keiki's...it's insane! I have more pics but am not sure if it will be possible to identify this plant until it blooms again. Still...it's just amazing!

    Um...tell them to send me a nice section and when it blooms I promise to research it for them! lol What a monster! Cool plant...tell your friend we all send a collective "Wow"! And I love purple...

    Now that is a monster dendrobium. I bet it is spectacular in bloom!
